The 3rd National Protected Area Conference with the theme, ” Building Resilience of People and Ecosystems through Innovations and Enhanced Collaboration in Protected Area Management” was held on June 25-27, 2024 at the Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria. The 3day event was participated in by more than 700 participants composed of Protected Areas Superintendents, Protected Area Management Office personnel, DENR Regional Executive Directors and staff, conservation partners from Non-Government Organizations, Academic Institutions, Private Sector, Local Government Units, the Protected Area Management Boards, and National Government Agencies. Breakout sessions sponsored by DENR partners in various interesting topics and exhibits were also part of the event.
As a result of the event, commitments for more active collaborations and fostering lasting partnership from various sectors including local communities and Indigenous Peoples to strengthen protected area management across the country was established.
