Philippine Ecosystems

The archipelagic characteristic of the Philippines has contributed to its topography that varies to a great extent. From coastal wetlands to upland region watersheds, the country is home to several types of ecosystems, which can be classified according to their defining features. The several ecosystems types the country has also resulted in the presence of several species that adapt,survive and thrive in a particular area for existence. Species endemism of the coutry has been related to the unique ecosystems characteristics of the country.
