International Commitments


Aside from local legislation, the Philippines is signatory to following international commitments for Biodiversity Conservation :

Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD)

Convention on Wetlands of International Importance (RAMSAR)

ASEAN Heritage Parks

UNESCO World Heritage Convention

Convention on the Conservation of Migratory Species of Wild Animals (Bonn Convention)

CITES (the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora)
