DENR-ACB partners for the hosting of the ASEAN Heritage Parks Forum 2026

The Government of the Philippines, through the Department of Environment and Natural
Resources (DENR), in partnership with the ASEAN Centre for Biodiversity (ACB), will host
the ASEAN Heritage Parks (AHP) Forum on 08–10 September 2026 in Seda Vertis North,
Quezon City, Metro Manila, Philippines.

Anchored on the ASEAN 2026 theme, “Navigating Our Future Together,” the AHP Forum
carries the theme, “Navigating a Sustainable Future for ASEAN Heritage Parks.” The Forum
aims to serve as a regional platform for learning, collaboration, and innovation among
ASEAN Member States and partners through the exchange of best practices and innovative
approaches in the management of AHPs and protected areas. It also adopts a
people-centered approach by highlighting the important roles of protected area managers,
Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities (IPLCs), women, and youth in biodiversity
conservation, protected area management, sustainable livelihoods, climate resilience, and
inclusive governance.
The AHP Forum will be attended by approximately 400 participants composed of AHP
managers and stakeholders from the eleven (11) ASEAN Member States, and key dialogue
and development partners.
